Hundreds of our neighbors in the Brazos Valley struggle to have enough food for their families, or pay their bills. Lack of enough affordable housing, good paying jobs, and uncertain health care is a daily disaster situation for them. Every Thanksgiving season, we all have an opportunity to assist our neighbors in a simple, meaningful way. A yearly effort of the St. Vincent de Paul Society provides 200+ low or no-income families with groceries for their Thanksgiving meal. How can you help?

Food Drive Items needed:

(please no glass jars or expired items)

• 15 oz cans of corn

• 15 oz cans of green beans

• 15 oz cans of fruit

• 29 oz cans of sweet potatoes

• 1 lb bags of pinto beans

• 1 lb bags of rice

• 13-15 oz boxes of potato flakes

• 7.25 oz boxes of mac & cheese

• 6 oz boxes of stuffing mix

• 8 oz boxes/pouches of cornbread

• small envelopes of dry gravy mix

• 18 oz jars of peanut butter

• cake mixes with frosting

• $25 HEB or Kroger gift cards

(given to each family to purchase their perishable items)
